Urban Planning Assignment
Using the data your group collected, complete the following tasks:
1 Generate a map of each area we visited. Maps should be labeled (streets, locations) and trees should be totaled (deciduous and coniferous)
2 Answer the following set of questions:
a) What is Urban Planning?
b) Has our municipal government followed the principles of urban planning when considering South Porcupine's downtown core? Use your data to provide three specific reason to support your answer.
c) If you were to receive $100 000 in funding to enhance the downtown core (make it more environmentally driven) when would you do? Provide three ways in which you would spend the money. Make sure you have reasons why you would purchase the items your group decides on.
d) You have received a donation of 10 saplings to plant on the RMSS property. You may select your species/sub-species of trees and place them on your map of the school. For each sapling, provide a rational as to why you selected each location.
