Trip Planning: Let's do this!
Equipment
1. Equipment list: Students should get into groups of 4. Brainstorm/Create a list of items we will need for our culminating camping trip. Please remember to create as comprehensive a list as possible. Each group needs to create a list that takes the whole group (20 people) into consideration. Use the provided heading below to arrange your list in an organized manner. Remember to think about all the everyday things or "boring" things we will need to bring; like a can opener, or bungee chords.
Areas to think about: Shelter: tarp,
Cooking: spatula,
Personal: tooth brush,
Camp Life: chairs,
Enjoyment: frisbee, etc...
2. Start pulling out your gear at home and checking it over. This is not something you want to do the night before we leave. Check it over for holes, tears, mildew...etc. Replace if necessary.

Menu
1. Menu Proposals: Today you can start planning menu ideas for the camping trip. Groups of 4 again, (different this time). Think about food. Yum.
In your groups come up with itemized meal ideas for the whole group. (20 people)
Think about the following for our trip; the meals for our trip will be as follows:
Tuesday: Lunch, Dinner, Snack
Wednesday: Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Dinner, Snack
Thursday: Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Dinner, Snack
Friday: Breakfast, Snack, Lunch
How many meals will we have?
What is needed for each meal? (Ingredients)
How is it prepared?
Who knows the recipe? What is the recipe?
Condiments?
Containers?
How do you serve it?
Do we need special cooking implements?
How much of each item do we need? (ounce or pound)
Anything else you can think of?
